Session Summary

Annually, the CPNP Board benefits from the opportunity to engage with CPNP Annual Meeting participants to share information and exchange ideas on issues critical to the profession. The Virtual CPNP 2020 Forum on our Future limited the two-way communication we planned for, but the Board was still able to provide updates on the highest priority issues and activities while showcasing how CPNP is working for you. Visit any of the links below to enjoy brief presentations from CPNP President Lisa Goldstone, Board members, and other CPNP leaders as they update you on how CPNP is here for you now and in the future in the areas of advancing the profession, government affairs, professional affairs, and much more.

It is a long tradition for our Forum on the Future to conclude with the awarding of The Judith J. Saklad Memorial Award which celebrates the life and work of the late Judith J. Saklad. Dr. Saklad was Clinical Pharmacologist and Clinical Coordinator of Pharmaceutical Services at San Antonio State School and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy and Pharmacology at The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

This award is presented annually to a senior psychiatric pharmacy practitioner who has achieved a level of professional distinction and demonstrates a continuing dedication to the practice of psychiatric pharmacy. CPNP was pleased to award the 2020 Judith J. Saklad Memorial Award to Julie Dopheide, PharmD, BCPP, FASHP, Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California. Enjoy her moving acceptance speech in the link below.
