AAPP Announces 2024 Research Award Finalists

Over 200 abstracts will be featured at the AAPP Annual Meeting. Posters will be displayed Monday, April 8-Tueday, April 9, 2024. Students, pharmacists, and other health care professionals will man their posters on Monday while resident and fellow posters will be manned on Tuesday. A special thank you to the abstract reviewers who participated in making these selections.

AAPP Announces Election of 2024-2026 Board Officers

The American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP) membership has elected three officers to serve on the 2024-2026 Board of Directors. Assuming their offices effective July 1, 2024, will be Drs. Jolene Bostwick, Julie Cunningham and Jennifer Dress.

Newly elected Board members will fill the following roles on the Board:

Apply for NIDA Mentor Facilitated Training Award-Up to $10,000 Awardee Stipend Plus Mentor Stipend

AAPP is a sponsoring organization of the NIDA Mentor-Facilitated Training Awards (NIDA-MFT) which support the development of expertise in substance use disorder (SUD), especially opioid use disorder (OUD), among early career investigators through the completion of a mentor-supervised project.

AAPP Announces 2024 Judith J. Saklad Memorial Award Recipient

The American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP) is pleased to announce the selection of Vicki Ellingrod, PharmD, FCCP, FACNP, as the recipient of the 2024 Judith J. Saklad Memorial Award. Dr. Ellingrod is a Professor at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy in Ann Arbor, MI.

AAPP Announces Slate for 2024-2026 Board of Directors Election

The American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP) Nominations Committee is pleased to announce the slate of 6 candidates for 3 positions on the 2024-2026 Board of Directors. AAPP active members will have the opportunity to select one President-Elect candidate and two Member at Large candidates through an online voting process starting September 18.

AAPP Advocates for Psychiatric Pharmacists on the Hill

Members of AAPP’s Board, Government Affairs Committee, and other Committees participated in 20 virtual Congressional visits over the last two weeks along with our government affairs consultant at Venable. We greatly appreciate their participation in educating Congressional offices on the role of psychiatric pharmacists in providing patient care services and discussing policy options to remove barriers for patients in accessing their services.
