
The mission of the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP) is to advance the reach and practice of psychiatric pharmacy and serve as the voice of the specialty to improve the public’s mental health care. Innovative quality improvement projects that support the integration of psychiatric pharmacists into mental health care teams are critical for the advancement of the profession.
The primary goal of this practice expansion grant program will be to provide two $25,000 grants to support quality improvement where the financial return on investment is insufficient to progress without external funding according to facility administrators.

Is IRB review required?
No. This grant supports quality improvement projects that do not require IRB review. It is not intended to support research studies.

Are we allowed to bill for services supported by this grant?
This grant does NOT stipulate any restrictions on billing, and billing would be considered a positive for an application as long as it can be explained why external support is still needed. However, AAPP does not provide billing advice, so applicants are encouraged to discuss the issue with their billing administrators.
