All AAPP Annual Meeting attendees, speakers, and AAPP Staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. All attendees are required to complete a primary series of an authorized or approved COVID-19 vaccine. AAPP encourages all attendees to receive the most recent booster dose recommended for them to stay up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccinations. The latest recommendations can be found here. Those with a medical exemption or an objection to COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting virtually. All attendees will be asked to confirm their vaccination status during registration.
AAPP is committed to following all CDC guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as state, local, and corporate (hotel) requirements to be mindful of the safety of attendees, staff, speakers, vendors, and supporters.
Before AAPP 2023
If desired, prior to April 6 at 11:59 PM Central, an in-person registration can be converted to a virtual registration by emailing info@aapp.org, and AAPP will refund the difference less a $75 handling fee. After April 6, an in-person registrant can still attend virtually but without a refund. Poster presenters cannot convert to virtual registration.
In-person attendees should follow all CDC guidelines regarding positive tests and exposures prior to the event. Note: All registrants (in-person and virtual) will have access to live streaming via aapp.org/2023 during the event should symptoms develop.
At AAPP 2023
Masks are optional in AAPP meeting spaces, and attendees are asked to monitor their own health.
By registering for the event, in-person attendees agree to abide by all event protocols and to follow necessary precautions. In-person attendees present at the AAPP 2023 Annual Meeting in Atlanta should not attend any AAPP programming or event if they feel ill or are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19. Remember, everyone has access to virtual streaming – you can watch in your room any time and still experience live Annual Meeting sessions!
Any public space where other people are present may hold an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases. By registering for and attending the event in Atlanta, you agree to voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure and agree not to hold AAPP or any of their affiliates including partners, sponsors, employees, volunteers, or sponsored venues liable for illness.
