Last year, CPNP launched its Communities initiative to encourage year-round member collaboration and networking. The second annual community gatherings at the CPNP 2015 Annual Meeting provided renewed energy for the effort, and the leaders are working to establish a framework for sharing resources and ideas that can sustain the initiative well into the future.
The hundreds of resources shared by members provide the cornerstone of the communities effort. To access the resources, simply search the web site! The "Filter by topics" options on the left allow you to narrow to specific community topics, and the basic search box lets you quickly find community resources on your topic in addition to relevant online courses, email list discussions, and other resources aggregated for the benefit of CPNP members.
Community leaders are planning a variety of conference calls and webinars starting in August. This issue of The CPNP Perspective provides some insight into what is coming from each community, and all CPNP members will receive notifications when an opportunity is approaching.
For now, take a moment to manage your community preferences. Many members will simply join all of the communities. Joining a community provides added benefits like early notification of new resources, inclusion in the planning discussions, and the ability to contribute to email discussions that might not be distributed over the full email list.
