Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy Review Course

As a recertification product, the goal of the Review Course is to assist the practitioner in developing and maintaining contemporary knowledge and skills at the psychiatric pharmacy specialty level. Inclusion of the Review Course as part of the recertification program is critical in ensuring the BCPP has systematically reviewed and assessed his/her core knowledge in the psychiatric specialty practice.

2024 Details:

  • Format: Self-study. The book is mailed via USPS (additional shipping fees apply) with e-book hosted in VitalSource Bookshelf. A digital-only option is available for those seeking the e-book option only.
  • Credit: 20 hours of ACPE and BCPP Recertification credit for recertifiers

Clinical Application Series

Five hours of live recertification approved programming is presented and recorded on-site at the 2024 AAPP Annual Meeting. Registrants can choose to attend programming live on-site or complete the programming as a self-study component online.

2024 Details:

  • Format: Live at AAPP Annual Meeting (April 7-10, 2024 in Orlando, FL) or via self-study through access to recorded versions of the live presentations. Participants in Orlando must also be registered for the Annual Meeting.
  • Credit: 5 hours of ACPE and BCPP Recertification credit
  • Release Date (for live programming): April 7, 2024
  • Release Date (for online access): May 2024
  • Examination Deadline: October 7, 2024

From Theory to Practice Case Series

This recertification product provides the opportunity to study a complex psychiatric case comorbid with a medical diagnosis and associated complex medication regimen. Participants will follow one patient through several encounters and have the opportunity to apply evidence-based pharmacological and/or nonpharmacological treatment strategies and monitoring recommendations speciļ¬c to patient needs and their pertinent history. Instructional webinars extend the value of the activity long after completion.

2024 Summit

The Summit is a two-day, interactive, virtual conference focused on emerging areas of practice. BCPPs desiring an evidence-based focus on an emerging area of practice and contemporary issues in psychiatric pharmacy at the specialist level are the intended audience.

Psychopharmacology Pearls

This recertification product consists of four clinical review articles focused on one or more distinct aspects of a single psychiatric, neurologic, or substance use disorder. Authored by leading experts in the field and hosted in AAPP’s peer-reviewed journal, The Mental Health Clinician (MHC), these practical learning tools will offer therapeutic advice based on both evidence and clinical decision-making strategies. These resource rich monographs will be fully referenced and highlight both the evidence base available and also controversial areas of clinical care to showcase strategies of clinical decision-making used by expert clinicians.
