We are thrilled to announce the 2024 Annual Meeting, scheduled for April 7-10, 2024, at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, a secluded oasis situated perfectly southwest of downtown Orlando. The Omni Orlando provides a secluded resort environment perfect for education and networking. AAPP 2024 is a perfect opportunity to refocus on your career, connect with colleagues, and to come away refreshed with tangible practice ideas and recommendations.
AAPP 2024 programming kicks off the afternoon of Sunday, April 7 with Dr. Vikram Patel presenting the opening keynote session on Transforming Mental Health Systems: Lessons from the Global South. Dr. Patel has been acclaimed as one of the top mental health speakers in the nation along with Bene Brown and Patrick Kennedy, and we are thrilled to have him speaking at AAPP 2024. Sunday’s programming concludes with two sessions approved for ACPE and BCPP recertification credit on Borderline Personality Disorder and Role of Cannabis and Cannabidiol in the Treatment of Anxiety Disorders followed by the AAPP Forum on Our Future, the Saklad Award Presentation, and the welcome reception honoring outgoing AAPP President Amy Werremeyer.
The next two and a half days are filled with more high-quality programming from leading experts on topics from Digital Therapeutics in Mental Health to Social Determinants of Health in the Treatment of Depression to Ethical and Real World Applications of Psychedelics. Recertification sessions (aka the Clinical Application Series) will be offered Sunday and Monday during the meeting. The schedule rounds out with numeorus other concurrent topic options, clinical pearls sessions, and a number of grant-supported symposia and product theaters to learn about the newest drugs and devices. Sprinkled throughout AAPP 2024 are opportunities to participate in a number of idea exchanges, presented by AAPP communities. These offer peer-to-peer collaboration and information sharing. Additionally, two poster sessions will feature the exciting research being conducted across the nation! You won’t want to miss these opportunities to reconnect with peers and colleagues from near and far in Orlando.
AAPP is pleased to once again offer a virtual attendance option. With the goal of better accessibility and an enhanced learning experience, new in 2024 will be the addition of speakers as well as slides being viewable by both in-person attendees and virtual attendees.
