This edition of the CPNP Perspective newsletter is dedicated to one of our key membership services, BCPP recertification products.  Over the past several years, CPNP has devoted significant staff and volunteer resources towards analyzing, enhancing, and promoting Continuing Professional Development (CPD) principles within our recertification products. These efforts are validated by you, our members, who request these products and report high satisfaction with our products. It is also important to note that our products are highly regarded from outside organizations as well including BPS who gives high praise regarding our offerings.

Recent membership and BCPP surveys have reinforced the need to increase the total number of recertification hours offered every year. CPNP has listened and responded with the launch of two new recertification products increasing our total offerings from 35 hours per year to 45 hours per year through a total of five products. This will result in 215 achievable hours over 7 years; far exceeding the 100 required hours.

Both new products have been designed to be highly practical and applicable to your practice as psychiatric pharmacists. The From Theory to Practice Case Series will feature in-depth analysis of a patient case and the Psychopharmacology Pearls product will impress you with its evidence-based information coupled with pearls from expert clinicians. Both products will be worth 5 BCPP recertification and ACPE hours each with both further highlighted in this month’s edition of the Perspectives.

Cost of recertification products is on your mind and on ours here at CPNP. Recertification pricing has changed relatively little since CPNP began offering recertification products over a decade ago. However, CPNP costs and the amount of resources consumed continues to climb. We continue to work to maintain a balance all while keeping BCPP recertification products affordable and at the high quality and rigor you and CPNP expects. To accomplish both of these goals in 2017, CPNP is offering a Buy One Get One opportunity related to the two new recertification products (From Theory to Practice Case Series and Psychopharmacology Pearls). This means you buy one product and receive the second new product and 5 hours of BCPP and ACPE credit, absolutely free! With this offer we hope to continue to meet your needs and expectations while also providing you exposure and gaining your invaluable feedback on these new products.

It is important for me to conclude by saying that none of this would be possible without the hard work of your peers on our recertification product editorial boards. Their work along with that of Board, speakers, authors, and staff, provide our members the best and latest information through our five, quality BCPP recertification offerings.
