Located on the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains, Colorado Springs lies 6,200 feet above sea level. While in Colorado, enjoy delightful weather and a mixture of plains and mountain climate that provides comfortable temperatures and beautiful scenery.

The Broadmoor is the host hotel for CPNP 2016. It is located on 3,000 lush acres near Cheyenne Mountain. The hotel boasts of nine restaurants, cafes, and lounges, and a multitude of specialty, boutique, and retail shops on site.

CPNP Student Rate: $142.50 /night + $10 services fee/night + taxes (limited number of rooms available at this rate) =$171.37

Services Fee: An incidental service fee of $10 per room/per night, single or double occupancy, will be added daily to the room rate. If beyond double occupancy, an additional $2.50 for each additional person, plus tax, will be added daily to the room. The fee provides for:

  • Complimentary in-room high speed internet service both wireless and wired
  • Unlimited access to The Broadmoor Fitness Center with indoor pool, whirlpools, and lap pools, and two daily group fitness classes
  • In-room hot beverage program: teas, coffee, hot chocolate
  • In-room evening bottle water and ice delivery

  • Resort and local activity shuttle service to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Starsmore Discovery Center, The Broadmoor World Arena, and Seven Falls

2. Seven Falls (Shuttle Accessible Activity*)

Known as “The Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado,” Seven Falls will take your breath away! An express elevator tunnels into the mountainside and goes 130 feet up to the Eagle’s Nest Platform. A 224-step stairway beside the falls leads to panoramic overlooks of Colorado Springs and eastern Colorado.

3. Carriage Museum

Located across the street from the Main Hotel adjacent to Broadmoor Hall is an amazing museum that houses an incredible array of historic carriages, cars and American memorabilia belonging to Broadmoor founders Spencer and Julie Penrose. It's a must-see for everyone!

4. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (Shuttle Accessible Activity*)

With free transportation from The Broadmoor to the zoo, you won't want to miss America's highest and only mountain zoo. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo sits at 6,800 feet on 50 acres and has over 700 creatures.

5. Manitou Springs and Cliff Dwelling

This mountain community boasts 11 naturally carbonated mineral spring fountains, world class art, music, theater, and sidewalk sculpture displays. Manitou Springs is 15 minutes from The Broadmoor and offers historic restaurants, trading posts, and gift shops.

Take an archeological adventure and see the Cliff Dwelling Anasazi Indians outdoor preserve. The Anasazi's had fine stonework with a dwelling of over 40 rooms that can be explored on a self-guided tour.

6. United States Air Force Academy

Travel along the foothills and visit the 18,000-acre Air Force Academy that houses over 4,000 cadets. You can tour the famous Chapel, Falcon Stadium, a B-52 that served in Vietnam, and more.

 

7. U.S. Olympic Headquarters and Training Center

The Olympic Headquarters and Training Center is the training center for the United States Olympic Committee and the Olympic Training Center programs. You can take a 45-minute walking tour of the complex, which is the national headquarters for USA Swimming and USA Shooting. The center can accommodate up to 557 coaches and athletes at one time, providing housing, dining, and recreational facilities.

8. Garden of the Gods

Visit this National Natural Landmark and take in the views of 300-foot towering sandstone rock formations against the backdrop of Pike's Peak. You can eat at the cafe, stroll through exhibits, shop, tour, bike, hike and so much more!

9. Cave of the Winds

Choose from 3 tours that offer something for everyone. Gain perspectives on Colorado's geological wonders or take a ride on the zip line, try the challenge course, or view the canyon overlook!

10. The Stables at The Broadmoor

For a unique experience, visit the stables (20 minutes from The Broadmoor) and take a guided horseback ride. Your guide will lead you through Western beauty where you may see deer, wild turkey, or fox. Take the Wildlife Ride and see elk and bison as they graze. One and two-hour rides are available.
