According to the CPNP Community Landing page, “The Research Community is for any CPNP member interested in research and collaboration. The community encourages you to connect with other researchers, and facilitates sharing research-oriented resources to help advance the science of psychiatric and neurologic pharmacy.” Based upon this premise, the community decided to implement a monthly conference call topic discussion. The goals of these discussions are to facilitate discussion between experienced and newer researchers, provide a forum for research guidance on specific areas of research, and to become a conduit for collaboration development between CPNP members. To accomplish these goals, the community will have experienced researchers discuss their methods in response to newer researchers’ inquiries. Topics were identified at the Annual Meeting in Tampa during the Research Community Meeting. The schedule of the topic conference calls are as follows:

February 2016 | Manuscript writing / poster presentation / research dissemination |
March 2016 | Choosing a journal |
Phone discussions will be held on the second Monday of each month at 3pm ET. Further information may be found on the Research Community workspace. All members of the Community and the general CPNP membership are invited to participate. We also encourage any interested, experienced CPNP members to share their insights during the monthly discussion. If you would be willing to share you experience in a specific topic, please contact the Community Leader at tomko170@duq.edu so that we can designate you as one of our topic facilitators.
