Julie A. Dopheide, PharmD, BCPP, has been promoted to Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, clinical professoriate track at University of Southern California School of Pharmacy and Keck School of Medicine.

Stanley S. Weber, Pharm.D., FASHP, BCPP, Associate Dean for Professional Pharmacy Education University of Washington, wrote an article entitled “What psychiatric pharmacy is, what we do, and how we treat patients” which was featured in a March 18, 2014 issue of the American Pharmacists Association Student Pharmacist Magazine. Sarah Melton, PharmD, BCPP, BCACP, CGP, FASCP, was featured in the May Edition of Pharmacy Today. The article describes Dr. Melton’s daily work caring for patients with mental illness and opioid addiction in the Appalachian region of Virginia and Tennessee. This article showcases the positive impact a psychiatric pharmacist can have in providing patient care. Dr. Melton practices at nurse-run Johnson City Community Health Center in Tennessee and at HighPower, PC, in Lebanon, VA. She is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Gatton College of Pharmacy and Chair of CPNP’s Recertification Editorial Board.
