Review Course Editorial Board Volunteer

My Why
Volunteering for AAPP helps me to grow my skills as an educator, allowing for growth in the areas of teaching, service, and scholarship. It helps me emphasize the importance of psychiatric pharmacy to my students.
I Gain…
As an editor, I gain experience in areas that help me grow my skills in academia – from drafting objectives to creating test items – and learn from colleagues across the country. Volunteering has led to great presenting and publishing opportunities.

My Employer Benefits…
I share the skills developed from AAPP involvement with my colleagues at the university. I’ve been able to take the lead with faculty development opportunities involving objective writing, test item creation, and editing.

My Volunteer Tip
Find something you love to do! My first committee assignment wasn’t a good fit. Volunteer where you’ll be happiest. Use it to help develop your skills as clinician, teacher, or researcher.
