Courtney Iuppa, PharmD, BCPP
Clinical Manager, PGY-2 Residency Program Director
Center for Behavioral Medicine, Kansas City, MO

Recertification Editorial Board Volunteer

My Why
AAPP was integral to my development as resident and showed me what a welcoming community psychiatric pharmacy is. I enjoy being a part of that community and sharing knowledge with future generations of psychiatric pharmacists.

I Gain…
I gain relationships with colleagues across the country that I wouldn’t have met otherwise. I also enjoy learning about the development of programming and how it relates to board certification.

My Employer Benefits…
I am a PGY2 residency program director and preceptor and volunteering on a committee helps me meet ASHP standards related to these roles. It also allows me to bring updated knowledge and information to implement in my facility.

My Volunteer Tip
Don’t be afraid to volunteer! It can seem daunting, especially when you are new in practice. Everyone is welcoming and the training is excellent.
