The Student Committee focuses on recruiting and serving student members of AAPP with the goal of encouraging students to select psychiatric pharmacy as a career. The committee is responsible for student activities at the AAPP Annual Meeting, directing students to online psychiatric pharmacy resources, and overseeing AAPP collegiate chapters. (Meets: Virtually 1-hour monthly and in-person at Annual Meeting, assists with student track at Annual Meeting as needed, Time Commitment: Average of 1-2 hours per month or 15-20 hours approximately over course of the year)
1. Students and the Annual Meeting.

a. Develop student-focused programming to be held at live AAPP Annual Meetings
|
b. Request continued AAPP and/or Foundation support for the student registration grant program
|
c. Maintain and implement a process for allocation of grant funds available to support student attendance at the Annual Meeting through the student registration grant program
|
d. Recommend structure and communication pieces for the student mentoring program with management of the process completed by staff
|
2. Chapter Services and Student Needs
|
a. Collect evaluations from Spring 2024 student event, review evaluations, and note improvements for offering at AAPP 2025.
|
b. Review all student chapter reports and prepare a report highlighting areas of concern and suggested action items
|
c. Assist with planning of Student Chapter Meeting at AAPP Annual Meetings
|
3. Student Services
|
a. Approve student Facebook page postings/calendar as prepared by staff
|
b. Prepare the September edition of the Perspective NL with content dedicated to how AAPP members in and outside of academia can work with students as a better way to engage members on our faculty contact list.

4. Marketing
|
a. By November 15, update the psychiatric pharmacy faculty list for all U.S. Colleges of Pharmacy on an annual basis
