Impact of Social Determinants of Health on Psychotropic Long-Acting Injectable Access and Administration | Grant Supported by Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. and Lundbeck

This session is a free, grant-supported continuing education webinar.

Social determinants of health play a critical role in the access to and administration of psychotropic long-acting injectables (LAIs). Factors like socioeconomic status, geographic location, and cultural beliefs shape patient access to these essential mental health services, impacting treatment outcomes. Participants will gain insight into the barriers to effective psychotropic LAI use and explore current research and innovative programs aimed at overcoming these obstacles. This webinar highlights practical examples and successful strategies for improving LAI access and adherence. Psychiatric pharmacists will be equipped with the insights needed to advocate for and contribute to systemic changes that enhance mental health care delivery, understanding the broader social context of their patients' care.

This free grant-supported webinar is presented as part of the 2024 Summit.
