AAPP Foundation President's Message: Spring 2025

Welcome Spring! I am looking forward to the change of seasons and having more daylight, sun, and warmth. And just like the change of seasons, there are changes to look forward to from the AAPP Foundation this year. The AAPP Foundation Board of Directors have been hard at work and cannot wait to share the successes from 2024 and the plans for this year!

We are looking forward to an Annual Meeting that is filled with exciting activities and exceptional programming! Similar to years past, the Foundation is awarding the Collegiate Chapter Impact Grants, Defining the Future Grants, and the Student Registration Grants to support student attendance at the AAPP Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, UT from April 27-30th. The Foundation is also continuing to sponsor a variety of activities at the Annual Meeting including the keynote address by Dr. Marie A. Chisholm-Burns on Addressing Social Determinants of Health through Trauma-informed Care, the Unity Walk, and the photo booth. The Foundation Board encourages you to stop by the Foundation Booth where you can meet the board members, donate to the foundation, and learn about how to become a Legacy Partner!

New for this year at the Annual Meeting, the AAPP Foundation has awarded DEI grants to support attendance to the AAPP Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City to two recipients, Dr. Esther Moon and Dr. Casey Tiefenthaler. Also new for this year is the Speaker Cultivation Workshop. This workshop is designed to help you develop the skills to become an effective national speaker. The registration fee is $50 and there are still a few seats if you’ll be attending AAPP 2025 in person!

We look forward to seeing everyone in Salt Lake City very soon!
