The Summit is a 2-day virtual meeting devoted to advancing the care of individuals living with mental illness. Participants in the Summit will improve their ability to care for patients diagnosed with mental illness(es), with a focus on emerging areas of practice and contemporary issues in psychiatric pharmacy at the specialist level. Topics span treatment settings and are of value to all psychiatric pharmacists regardless of the practice setting. This meeting is targeted toward psychiatric pharmacists and other health care professionals involved in the comprehensive care of individuals living with mental health disorders.
ACPE Credit
The American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The Summit will provide up to 10 contact hours of application-based continuing education credit from AAPP approved programming.
To earn credit, participants must participate, verify their attendance at the programming, and complete evaluations and self-assessment questions. AAPP reports to CPE Monitor within days of evaluation completion and provides transcripts online at aapp.org. CPE Monitor does not accept ACPE credit submissions after 60 days making timely completion essential.
The Summit is approved for 10 hours of BCPP recertification credit. To earn BCPP recertification credit, participants must register for this option, participate either live or in the enduring, complete evaluations, and successfully pass a 40 question application-level receritifcation examination at a 75% or higher. The exam must be completed by July 10, 2025. BCPP recertifiers can purchase the 2024 Summit and participate either live on October 10-11 and/or via the enduring/recorded offering available immediately after the event or via a combination of live and enduring. Learn more about BCPP Recertification products. BCPP Recertification credit is awarded in the calendar year the assessment is completed. AAPP reports continuing credit for ACPE (CPE Monitor) and BCPP Recertification (BPS) within days of successful exam completion.
Nursing Credit: ACPE approved contact hours are accepted for ANCC Certification Renewal (as noted on the ANCC website under FAQs - Renewal Requirements for Continuing Education): "Education sponsored by organizations, agencies, or educational institutions accredited or approved by...the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)..." Additionally, ACPE approved contact hours are accepted for AANPCB advanced practice provider content.
