The content in this webinar assists with building and expanding LAI clinics by outlining policies and procedures for administering LAIs; logistic considerations related to the location, room, and supplies; billing challenges and opportunities; marketing tips; and patient communication techniques.

Jerry McKee, PharmD, MS, BCPP, FAAPP

Dr. Jerry McKee is a board-certified psychiatric pharmacy specialist with over 43 years in leadership roles in public mental health inpatient psychiatry, residential IDD services, academia, and behavioral health managed care in Texas, Tennessee and North Carolina. Dr. McKee is Board Certified in Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacy, having received his undergraduate and graduate pharmacy training at the University of North Carolina, and currently serves as CEO and Chief Clinical Officer for Psychopharm Solutions LLC, a behavioral health pharmacy consultant management firm serving the southeast, based in Morganton, North Carolina. He is past president of the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists and former two-term member of the Board of Pharmacy Specialties Executive Council. Dr. McKee has published and presented frequently on topics related to his field and has frequently provided expert testimony related to psychopharmacology in civil lawsuits. Dr. McKee is currently serving as the project manager for a North Carolina Medicaid behavioral health whole person care plan grant. This initiative aims to develop, implement, and evaluate scalable, reasonable, and fair payment models for pharmacy-based services. The project specifically targets improving the physical and behavioral health outcomes of plan members—individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. The four key services include LAI Administration and Patient Management, Tobacco Cessation Counseling and Prescribing, Adherence Support, and Point of Care Testing.
Dr. McKee is a certified adult Mental Health First Aid instructor and is on a mission to
reduce stigma regarding mental illness in the pharmacy and primary care communities.
