This webinar focuses on the CATCH cluster-randomized trial, which was conducted in 6 New York City public hospitals. The study’s Principal Investigator will give an overview of the significance of addiction consult services and the origins of the study, and then present quantitative and qualitative findings from the study.
This session reviews practical, evidence-based approaches for bringing overdose prevention and opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment into pediatric primary care. It will cover screening and risk assessment, brief counseling to reduce the consequences of drug use, naloxone distribution, and pathways for initiating and managing medications for OUD (including buprenorphine).
This award will recognize individual AAPP member efforts and accomplishments in increasing patient access to high quality mental health care in exceptional and distinctive ways. This may include activities that increase access to psychiatric pharmacist-led interprofessional care. Examples include reduction and/or mitigation of social determinants of health for people living with mental illness, increased access to novel treatments and/or clinical interventions through research, etc.
This award will recognize individual AAPP members who impact change by benefiting access to care for individuals living with mental illness and/or by advancing the profession of psychiatric pharmacy through advocacy with policymakers and/or decision-makers.
