Research and travel grants, awards and honors, volunteer opportunities, and more are now open at AAPP but for a limited time. Now is the moment for you to get involved in AAPP. Here are some steps you can take today!
- By 9/20: Apply to join a Writing Accountability Group (WAG) to help you publish more
- By 9/25: Vote for the Board of Directors (Active and Retired members only)
- By 9/30: Apply for the Practice Expansion Grant
- By 9/30: Apply for one of the 3 retrospective Outcomes Research Grants (bipolar, clozapine, MOUD)
- By 10/1: Apply to be a Fellow (FAAPP)
- By 10/15: Reply to the Curriculum Survey or RPD Survey if you receive an invitation
- By 10/28: Apply for Committee and Task Force opportunities including:
- Standing committees and editorial boards
- Psychotropic Stewardship Index Task Force: Create an index to identify patients that need elevated care, reaching consensus via the Delphi method
- Deprescribing Paper Task Force: Write a paper on the role of BCPPs in deprescribing with a focus on child and adolescent patients
- Ethical Use of AI Task Force: Write a paper on the ethical use of AI by mental health clinicians
- Communication Style Guide 2027 Task Force: Update how we present ourselves to the public and ensure we avoid stigmatizing language
- By 11/16: Apply for the DEI Travel Grant to AAPP 2027 funded by AAPP Foundation.
