Meetings are a cornerstone of effective leadership, collaboration, and decision-making, yet many professionals receive little formal training in how to design and facilitate them successfully. The AAPP Foundation is proud to be sponsoring a three-part, interactive workshop designed to equip psychiatric pharmacists with practical strategies to plan, structure, and lead meetings with clarity and purpose.
The workshop will be delivered virtually over the course of six weeks. The first session will focus on applying foundational meeting design principles in different settings and practicing interactivity tools and civil facilitation techniques. The second session will introduce conversation models and strategies for engaging participants, concluding with hands-on planning for real-life meetings. Prior to attending the third session, participants should actively apply the strategies from Sessions 1 and 2 by leading a meeting in their professional setting or through an AAPP committee. The third session will offer reflection and long-term strategies for applying facilitation skills in various professional environments.
