From Agenda to Action: Effective Meeting Design and Facilitation

Program Overview

Do you want to gain confidence in how you plan, lead, and participate in meetings? If so, this educational program is for you!

Meetings are a cornerstone of effective leadership, collaboration, and decision-making, yet many professionals receive little formal training in how to design and facilitate them successfully. This interactive workshop will equip psychiatric pharmacists with practical strategies to plan, structure, and lead meetings with clarity and purpose. Participants will learn proven facilitation techniques to increase engagement, foster inclusive and respectful discussions, and navigate diverse perspectives productively. Whether working in clinical practice, academia, administration, or professional organizations, attendees will strengthen leadership and communication skills that can be immediately applied to improve meeting outcomes and drive meaningful action.
This three-part, live workshop will be delivered virtually over the course of six weeks. The first session will focus on applying foundational meeting design principles in different settings and practicing interactivity tools and civil facilitation techniques. The second session will introduce conversation models and strategies for engaging participants, concluding with hands-on planning for real-life meetings. Prior to attending the third session, participants should actively apply the strategies from Sessions 1 and 2 by leading a meeting in their professional setting or through an AAPP committee. The third session will offer reflection and long-term strategies for applying facilitation skills in various professional environments. Registrants should attend all three sessions to maximize learning.
This exclusive workshop is limited to just 20 learners—register now to secure your spot before it fills!
