The Health and Aging Policy Fellowship

StipendStipends for Residential Fellows vary and are commensurate with each individual’s current base salary. Non-Residential Fellows may receive up to $10,000 to cover approved placement-related expenses and travel costs. Non-Residential applicants who are early in their career and cannot secure full institutional, in-kind support for their fellowship participation may apply for partial salary support from the Health and Aging Policy Fellows program, up to a maximum of $15,000.
PrerequisitesApplicants must have a strong commitment to health and aging issues; should specify how the program would meet their particular career goals; and must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or its territories who have career plans that anticipate continued work in the U.S. after the fellowship period.

Hispanic Center of Excellence in Pharmacy (HCEP) Fellowship Program

Preceptors will include pharmacists and other providers within Loma Linda University Health and Inland Empire Health Plan.
Focus AreaThe HCEP Fellowship is a 2-year pharmacy fellowship program designed to train and mentor a fellow through both clinical activities and academic research focused on reducing health disparities. The HCEP fellow will rotate amongst several clinical practices but the main clinical practice will be with Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP). IEHP will provide the fellow with training in population health to positively impact the health care needs of regional Hispanic populations and provide the fellow with significant health disparities research. These experiences will well-position the fellow as an outstanding faculty candidate by the end of the second year of the fellowship.

  • PGY-1 experience preferred but not required
  • Spanish fluency preferred
  • Preference for individuals living within San Bernardino, Riverside, or Los Angeles counties in California, or willing to commit to serving within these areas upon fellowship completion


Primary Care -Training and Education in Addiction Medicine (PC-TEAM) One-Year Fellowship Training

Focus AreaThe primary goal of the TNT PC-TEAM fellowship is to provide mentorship and teaching skills in the area of addiction medicine. Trainees will learn in both small and large group settings, with a focus on how to teach information and skills learned to providers in their region. The target audiences for the program are MDs, DOs, NPs and PAs.

Prerequisites
  • Be currently employed or have accepted employment as a primary care provider (MD, DO, NP, PA, PharmD) in the following specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, or psychiatry
  • Work at a qualifying practice site in a Federally Qualified Health Center/lookalike, Health Professional
    Shortage Area – Primary Care (HPSA-PC) or Primary
    Care Shortage Area (PCSA) in California
  • Work at a practice site with at least 50 percent of
    patients from a medically underserved population
    (Medi-Cal, uninsured, or beneficiaries of another
    publicly funded program that serves patients who earn
    less than 250 percent of the federal poverty level)
  • Currently, serve or plan on serving children and youth
    25 years of age or younger
