The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has proposed sweeping changes to overhaul the set of rules, known as the Uniform Guidance, governing federal grants, cooperative agreements, and other monetary awards to nonprofits, state and local governments, and other grantees. AAPP joined AACP and other national pharmacy associations in submitting a detailed comment letter opposing many of the rule provisions with emphasis on the importance of maintaining funding processes that are transparent, predictable, and informed by objective standards and subject matter expertise. The letter encourages policies governing federal financial assistance should preserve the flexibility and stability necessary to sustain these activities while ensuring appropriate oversight and accountability
