Program Overview
Postpartum depression (PPD) is a significant maternal mental health concern, yet recognizing symptoms, navigating treatment options, and addressing concerns about medication use can present challenges for clinicians. How can health care professionals identify patients who need support and make informed, individualized treatment decisions?
In this four-part podcast series, experts explore the complexities of postpartum depression, from identifying symptoms and screening patients to comparing pharmacologic treatments, including the newer option zuranolone. Through engaging conversations, the series also examines medication use during lactation and tackles common misconceptions that may prevent patients from seeking or receiving appropriate care. Tune in for evidence-based insights and clinical considerations to help psychiatric pharmacists and other health care professionals support patients experiencing postpartum depression.
