SAMHSA announced $247.9 million in grants to expand addiction treatment, mental health services and recovery support nationwide. The awards include $69.4 million to expand access to medications for opioid use disorder, $34.6 million to train first responders and community members to administer and distribute opioid overdose-reversal medications, and more than $96 million for children’s mental health and trauma services.
