A New Era in Clozapine Management - Launches November 3!

Program Overview

Clozapine remains the gold standard for treatment-resistant schizophrenia but is one of the most underutilized tools in psychiatric care. This seven-part, on-demand educational series offers a powerful opportunity to change that by helping clinicians break through the myths and challenges that have long limited clozapine use. Clinicians are now navigating clozapine management without the oversight of the FDA REMS program. This shift calls for strong clinical judgment and interdisciplinary collaboration. Through real-world insights, expert guidance, and patient perspectives, this program helps health care professionals make informed, patient-centered decisions in a rapidly evolving treatment landscape. Each module tackles a core challenge in clozapine care, ranging from adverse effect management to monitoring in the post-REMS era, and use in special populations. Whether you’re new to clozapine or looking to sharpen your expertise, this ACPE, AMA, ANCC, and AAPA accredited program delivers 5.5 hours of clinically relevant content to immediately support your practice. We invite you to participate in this online course if you are a pharmacist, physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, nurse, or other health care professional involved in the care of individuals with serious mental illness.

Program Learning Objectives

  1. Identify key strategies for the safe initiation, titration, and management of clozapine therapy across diverse patient populations.
  2. Explain the clinical implications of the REMS program removal and its impact on monitoring practices for clozapine.
  3. Describe strategies to manage common and serious adverse effects of clozapine, with a focus on minimizing patient burden.
  4. Incorporate patient-centered approaches into clozapine treatment, fostering shared decision making to improve patient engagement and outcomes.
