Dr. Lisa Whittington joined the faculty at the Oregon State University (OSU) College of Pharmacy in August 2026 as an Associate Professor (Clinical). She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Arizona in 2007 and has held faculty appointments at the University of Arizona and University of Southern California. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Illinois State University in 1996 and worked as a professional counselor with at-risk populations in Arizona prior to becoming a pharmacist. Dr. Whittington has over 25 years of clinical experience working with patients with mental health and/or substance use disorders across all age groups in a variety of settings. She currently works with the Drug Use Research & Management (DURM) group at OSU to promote safe, effective, innovative, and financially sustainable mental health policies for the Oregon Medicaid program.
