President's Letter
September evokes emotions, positive or negative, associated with fall colors, shorter days, and back to school. For many, this is a time to get back into full swing with work, careers, school, projects, etc. This is certainly true for CPNP as an organization as the 2008-2009 board and committees are gearing up with many activities.
The 2009 annual meeting program in Jacksonville, Florida, April 19 – 22nd, 2009 is in the process of being finalized. We are very excited about the fascinating topics and exciting speakers that the education committees have secured so far. The warm weather will be welcome at that time of year and some good fun is assured.
Membership is up, thanks to those of you who have recruited new members through the ongoing member-get-a-member campaign. With the start of a new school year, this is an excellent time to encourage new students, trainees, and co-workers to join CPNP, and help you qualify for some great prizes. Membership is free for students and trainees.
Please check out the shared resources section if you haven’t visited it recently. We have been busy adding valuable content to our new website and will have even more improvements very soon.
Recent membership satisfaction survey results are being reviewed and we hope to address many of the comments. We also value your input throughout the year. Suggestions may be made by contacting our office or any of the board members. As you gear up for fall, we invite your participation and feedback in our numerous CPNP endeavors.
Sincerely,
Carla Cobb, CPNP President
