AAPP creates and supports spaces that recognize the work that trainee and practicing psychiatric pharmacists are doing within our profession.

Personal fulfillment and access to a variety of professional experiences. From building connections with mental health colleagues across the country and internationally, to participating in peer-reviewed literature and distributing medication knowledge to the general public, AAPP volunteerism has given me opportunities that I likely would not have been able to achieve elsewhere.

Through recognition from administrative stakeholders as well as additional evidence on the positive role psychiatric pharmacists play in patient care and public health.

Start small and in an area that you're truly passionate about. Also keep in mind that regardless of whether you are a “Big L” or a “Little L” leader, any contribution you make to the community around you can make a difference!
