Learning Objectives

  1. Identify variations in the signs and symptoms of pediatric anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorders, and panic disorder.
  2. Explain how assessing for anxiety in children and adolescents may be different than in adults
  3. Identify psychological and behavioral interventions to reduce anxiety in children.
  4. Describe current and future pharmacological interventions to reduce anxiety in children.
