Are there any additional requirements for application? The standard requirements, as outlined in PhORCAS, are all that are required. Should you match to our site, you will be asked to fill out an online application through our normal HR recruitment process. Residents will staff at the Northpointe Family Medicine Clinic and various Providence Medical Group clinic locations throughout Spokane. Where is Spokane located? - PGY2 Other Features: Residents can obtain their teaching certificate if not obtained during their PGY1 residency. Residents will have the opportunity to provide formal psychopharmacotherapy lectures to WSU college of pharmacy students during their Teaching rotation. Residents will also be involved in a variety of community outreach opportunities focused on individual and group education. The program is structured to have dedicated time each week to focus on and support BCPP exam preparation.
Program Philosophy
Our program is designed to provide intensive training through a variety of learning experiences aimed at preparing residents to independently formulate comprehensive and integrated care plans for patients diagnosed with behavioral health and neurologic disorders. Our residents will gain in-depth clinical knowledge through direct patient care of patients of all ages. Residents who successfully complete our program will be prepared for board certification in psychiatric pharmacy and for a position as a psychiatric clinical pharmacy specialist.
Site Special Features
This program is a primary care residency in which the residents will conduct and manage patient care visits in the outpatient setting. The program combines partnership with the WSU college of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Providence Medical Group.
