Program Philosophy
This PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency Program offers specialized learning experiences at McLean Hospital (MCL) and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) aimed at enhancing education in psychopharmacology and clinical pharmacy practice. Our mission is to develop residents’ clinical skills through a combination of outpatient and inpatient rotations, precepting pharmacy learners, conducting clinical research, and engaging in interdisciplinary education. Aligned with the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) curriculum, this residency provides an opportunity for residents to build upon their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY1 experience, preparing them for independent clinical practice. Graduates will be well-equipped for roles in patient care, academia, or specialized positions, as well as eligibility for board certification in psychiatric pharmacy.
