  • PGY2 Other Features: RUHS Arlington Campus is a 77 bed inpatient behavioral health hospital serving the County of Riverside. The hospital includes two 28 bed adult units, a 12 bed adolescent unit, a 9 bed adult psychiatric intensive care unit, and adult and pediatric/adolescent emergency departments. Pharmacy services are provided to inpatients and outpatients with mental illness. Clinical pharmacists at this site serve as preceptors to pharmacy students from University of Southern California, University of the Pacific, Loma Linda University, Keck Graduate Institute, University of Colorado Denver, and UC San Diego. The campus is home to RUHS's Psychiatry Medical Residency and Fellowship programs, University of California - Riverside's Psychiatry Medical Residency, and UCR's Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship programs.

PGY1 Special Features

RUHS Arlington Campus's Inpatient Psychiatry rotation is a required 6 week rotation of the RUHS PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency. PGY-1 electives are also available with other BCPP preceptors in their respective practice settings. Opportunities are available to conduct a psychiatric based residency project during the PGY-1 residency year. Early commitment opportunity to the PGY-2 residency is also a possibility offered to PGY-1 residents.
