Program Philosophy
The Tennessee Valley VA Healthcare System is based in Nashville and Murfreesboro TN. TVHS PGY2 Psychiatry Residency Program focuses on ensuring residents leave the program as a strong psychiatric pharmacist with a variety of experiences including inpatient psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry, outpatient substance use treatment, residential substance use treatment, and chronic pain management .
Site Special Features
This residency is located within a Veteran's administration facility with has 2 main campuses (Nashville and Murfreesboro, TN). We are also a teaching facility for multiple disciplines. This PGY2 will have multiple opportunities to interact and practice with other disciplines in both the outpatient and inpatient arenas. They will participate in an interprofessional training program along side psychology interns and post-doctoral fellows and psychiatry medical residents.
