AAPP Connect (Mentoring) - Throughout AAPP 2026

Psych pharmacy students, residents, fellows, and new practitioners have a valuable opportunity to connect with experienced peers for one-on-one mentoring! Everyone interested in serving as a mentor or being mentored should sign up on their profile by March 19, 2026.


Psych Spark Lounge - Sunday, April 19 - Tuesday, April 21

The Psych Spark Lounge, our dedicated work and networking space, will be available Sunday, April 19, through Tuesday, April 21. Use the lounge to meet with friends, check email, or simply take a break throughout the Annual Meeting. Please note that dedicated networking sessions are scheduled in this space from 12:30 - 1:00 PM each day, and noise may be elevated during this time. 


Idea Exchanges - Sunday, April 19 - Tuesday, April 21

Several hours have been reserved for discussions of current practice issues from Sunday, 4/19 through Tuesday, 4/21. Sessions will be facilitated by AAPP Communities and peer-to-peer collaboration and information is encouraged!  The full idea exchange schedule will be posted in early 2026.
 

Networking! - Sunday, April 19 - Tuesday, April 22, 12:30-1:00 PM

Dedicated networking time has been reserved each day in the Psych Spark Lounge between morning and afternoon programming! Each half-hour networking session will have a different host group ready to welcome attendees and spark conversation. Plan to attend one or more sessions to connect with other attendees.

New this Year - Headshot Photo Booth, Sponsored by the AAPP Foundation

Update your professional photo at the headshot photo booth! A photographer will be onsite taking headshots on multiple days during the Annual Meeting. Dates and times to be announced! There is no cost to participate, but free will donations to the AAPP Foundation are encouraged. Donate online to receive a tax-deductible receipt.


Judith J. Saklad Memorial Award Presentation* - Sunday, April 19

Join us Sunday, April 19, as we award the 2026 Judith J. Saklad Memorial Award. The Judith J. Saklad Memorial Award celebrates the life and work of the late Judith J. Saklad. Dr. Saklad was a Clinical Pharmacologist and Clinical Coordinator of Pharmaceutical Services at San Antonio State School and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy and Pharmacology at The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. This award is presented annually to a senior psychiatric pharmacy practitioner who has achieved a level of professional distinction and demonstrates a continuing dedication to the practice of psychiatric pharmacy.


AAPP Forum on Our Future* - Sunday, April 19

Join the AAPP Board of Directors to hear an update on the highest priority issues and activities within the association and the profession. The forum will provide the opportunity for participant questions and input from in-person and virtual attendees.


President's Reception - Sunday, April 19

All in-person attendees are invited to join us for an evening of celebration to honor AAPP President Jolene Bostwick!


VA Forum - Monday, April 20, 7:00-7:45 AM

This forum is an opportunity for VA pharmacists to discuss issues pertinent to VA pharmacy practice. The session will consist of policy and program office updates from VA Central Office on topics pertinent to psychiatric and neurologic practice as well as open discussion on topics that the facilitators have solicited from VA pharmacists using the VA psychiatric pharmacist listserv.
 

Research and MHC Awards Presentation - Monday, April 20

Come join us for an awards presentation Monday morning before the opening session! The Research Awards, generously sponsored by the AAPP Foundation, will be awarded in five different categories. The MHC Editors’ Choice Award for Outstanding Articles, as well as the list of Outstanding and Trusted Peer Reviewers will also be announced during the brief presentation. Help us celebrate the amazing contributions of our authors and peer reviewers for the Mental Health Clinician.


FAAPP Award Presentation - Monday, April 20

The second class of AAPP fellows will be recognized Monday morning between sessions. Please join us to congratulate the 2026 class!


Poster Sessions - Monday, April 20 and Tuesday, April 21

Two poster sessions round out the AAPP 2026 schedule on Monday and Tuesday evenings. During scheduled sessions, poster authors will be available at their posters to discuss their research and answer your questions.

Online Poster Viewing*

Although there is no scheduled session for viewing online posters, in-person and virtual attendees may view all posted poster PDFs at their convenience. Authors will publish posters online closer to the event!


Mental Health Unity Walk - Wednesday, April 22, 7:00-7:30 AM

Join the AAPP Foundation on Wednesday, April 22, for a 1-mile unity walk starting at 7:00 AM. Bring your favorite mental health-themed t-shirt and meet in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency Bellevue by 6:55 AM. We will walk together to Bellevue Downtown Park and around the circular loop. Let's walk together for mental health and enjoy downtown Bellevue!
