This webinar reviews the signs, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria for serious mental illnesses; guideline recommendations for LAI antipsychotic use; the barriers, advantages, and disadvantages for the use of LAIs; and the role of the pharmacist in LAI administration in the pharmacy setting.

Learning Objectives
- Describe the signs, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and schizoaffective disorder.
- Identify advantages and disadvantages for the use of long-acting injectable (LAI) antipsychotics.
- Describe the role of the pharmacist in LAI antipsychotic administration in the pharmacy setting.
Target Audience
We invite you to participate in this online course if you are a pharmacist, nurse, or other health care professional interested in administering and/or learning more about psychotropic long-acting injectables for patients living with serious mental illness or substance use disorders.
