The Teaching Community is hosting a webinar on the topic of distance teaching strategies and online course mapping. During the webinar we will focus on teaching strategies for engagement and course mapping in online courses. For mapping, we will focus on building course outcomes, unit outcomes, and activities for online course that incorporate student-student, student-faculty, and student-content interactions. At Husson University, Speaker Stephanie Nichols has designed and executed 3 different online courses for PharmD students (Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy elective – 2018), Mental Health Nurse Practitioner students (Advanced Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy – 2016, 2017), and Doctor of Physical Therapy students (Pharmacology – 2017, 2018). Stephanie Nichols, PharmD, BCPS, BCPP, FCCP is an Associate Professor at the Husson University School of Pharmacy who specializes in substance use disorders and consult-liaison psychiatry, practicing at Maine Medical Center. Dr. Nichols is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Tufts University School of Medicine. She has no conflicts to disclose.
