The CPNP Foundation is committed to StigmaFree patient-provider interactions. Join us as we fight stigma throughout CPNP 2018 in partnership with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and their StigmaFree campaign!

Be StigmaFree

CPNP is partnering with NAMI at CPNP 2018 to end stigma and create hope for those affected by mental illness. Navigating life with a mental health condition can be tough, and the isolation, blame, and secrecy that is often encouraged by stigma can create huge challenges to moving forward in one’s recovery journey. Learning how to cope with stigma and how to avoid and address stigma are important. NAMI and CPNP Foundation are committed to replacing stigma with hope by supporting NAMI's StigmaFree campaign

What Can You Do?

Through powerful words and actions, we can all work together to shift the social and systemic barriers for those living with mental health conditions. Here is how you can be StigmaFree at CPNP 2018:

  1. Take the StigmaFree pledge online during CPNP 2018 (4/22-4/25) and sign the StigmaFree wall. The pledge will be available online and those not attending the event are encouraged to participate.

  2. Grab a sticker and a selfie sign at the Foundation booth in the foyer and distribute your #StigmaFree selfie over social media as a call to action.

  3. Share this page on Facebook to announce that it is time to be #StigmaFree.

  4. Attend the StigmaFree Me! Discussion Den on Monday, April 23, 10:45-11:45 AM.

  5. Register for the StigmaFree Walk with NAMI on Wednesday, April 25, 6:45-7:45 AM and proudly wear your StigmaFree t-shirt.

Thank you for doing your part to help fight stigma!
