All student attendees have the opportunity to be paired up with an active practitioner for a one-on-one (30 minute) mentoring meeting during CPNP 2017. You can register for the mentoring session online via your annual meeting registration form where you will rank order your practice interest areas and provide background information to be shared with your selected mentor. Matches will be completed and communicated in early April 2017.

1:15-1:30 p.m.: Welcome and Introduction to CPNP and the Annual Meeting
Gain insights into how to make the most of your Annual Meeting. Identify the must-attend events and networking opportunities available to you. Additionally, gain information on how your CPNP membership can benefit you through activities such as participating in CPNP communities, publishing in the Mental Health Clinician journal, and by taking CPNP University courses.
1:30-2:15 p.m.: Resident/New Practitioner Panel
Get the real-world view from new practitioners and residents who will share the networking strategies they employed in securing a residency and how they prepared for a residency.

Gain insights into what it feels like to live with mental illnesses. Learn about the struggles, triumphs, and how to deal with symptoms and treatments of mental illness.
Learning objectives:
Identify stigma surrounding individuals with mental illness.
Thanks to the generous support of the CPNP Foundation, CPNP Past Presidents’ Destiny Fund, and CPNP members, 20 students received a $500 grant consisting of a full registration to the Annual Meeting ($175 value) and a $325 travel stipend based on the merits of their applications.
