The Research Community is hosting a discussion/open forum for PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Residents on the topic of residency projects. This webinar is intended only for PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Residents to gain feedback on their residency project. Residency Program Directors may also be interested in attending. The committee members of the Research Community will be on the call to provide feedback to residents regarding their residency research project idea and methodology.  Residents are encouraged to provide a summary (<5 minutes) of their residency project idea and/or methodology on the call so Committee members can provide helpful feedback. Residents are also encouraged to ask questions.

During the webinar, we will be focusing on identifying appropriate opportunities for case reports, strategies for assembling a case report and the submission process. Mathew A. Fuller, Pharm.D., BCPP, FASHP is the featured speaker. Dr. Fuller is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and holds faculty appointments at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and University of Toledo School of Pharmacy. Dr. Fuller has experience in scientific publishing and also serves on the editorial board for scientific journals.  Questions are welcome following the presentation.

The PMEG community is hosting a webinar on the topic of principles & techniques for conducting medication groups. This will be part 1 of a 2 part series. During the webinar, we will be focusing on outlining the basic principles & techniques for conducting medication groups in both the inpatient & outpatient settings. We will also be discussing the importance of patient medication education group documentation and how to complete this task in any practice setting. Lastly, we will be discussing approaches for incorporating students and residents into the patient medication education group process. The Substance Use Disorders Strategies (SUDS) Community is hosting a webinar on the topic of harm reduction efforts by pharmacists. During the webinar we will be focusing on interventions pharmacists can make during institutional clinical care or in community settings. Speaker Chris Stock, PharmD, BCPP, is retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs where he worked in the substance use disorder outpatient and residential clinic settings for 24 years. Chris Stock currently works as the co-chair of the Colorado Harm Reduction Workgroup on issues related to substance use disorder and promotes safe substance use via harm reduction strategies such as syringe access and safe drug consumption which he plans to share experiences with the audience.
