Mark your calendars for November 17-18, 2022! Individual 1-on-1 interviews take place 10AM-2PM Central, and the open house is 2PM-3:30PM Central each day. PGY1 residents and students are encouraged to sign up for 15-minute 1-on-1 interview timeslots with RPDs. Even those who are unable to reserve a time can participate in the 90-minute virtual open house each afternoon to quickly meet multiple RPDs.

The 2022 showcase is supported by the AAPP Foundation. Their generous support allowed the showcase to be held without cost to any RPDs or trainees, and it also enabled the integration of video into the directory and the addition of 1-on-1 interviews this year.

1-on-1 Interviews

RPDs are still adding their availability, but students and residents can already sign up for 1-on-1 interviews with RPDs of interest. The Zoom meeting links will appear here closer to the showcase.

FAQ for RPDs

Can I update my selected time slots?

Yes! To update your availability, edit your profile in the Residency Directory on page 3.

Are we scheduling 1-on-1 interviews?

Yes! Interviews will be scheduled on both days.

However, there is also the opportunity to participate in an open house each day where scheduling is not required. The open house structure is similar to a traditional job fair where trainees can approach any booth/table, but there may be others there as well. They can either listen in to the discussion, or they can wait until it is their turn to talk with you. It is up to you to decide how to acknowledge people as they enter the breakout room.

Can others affiliated with my residency participate in the showcase?

All information regarding residency representation in the showcase will be communicated solely to the RPD associated with the entry in the residency directory. You are allowed to share the connection information with up to 2 additional people associated with your program (e.g., a recent resident or another mentor). You must NOT post the connection information publicly, and it is entirely your responsibility to pass along any necessary details to your additional representatives. The breakout rooms are unmonitored and unmoderated, so these representatives can also be in lieu of the RPD if necessary.

Can I share my screen?

Yes, you are strongly encouraged to share your screen. The showcase will be hosted in Zoom using breakout rooms, and participants will be allowed to share their screens. If you do not show your screen, it is possible that another attendee might share their screen in your breakout room. If you have nothing program-specific to share, you can use this generic showcase slide.

How do I get more information?

If you have additional specific questions, please email them to info@aapp.org.
