The American Academy of Private Physicians Fall Summit will be held October 10 and 11 in Miami at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel. The programming goal for the Fall Summit is to encourage networking with industry-leading experts in the various medical and healthcare field. From medical legal counseling and healthcare marketing to medical technology and long-term business planning, there will be programs for all interests.

As the leading national authority and trade organization for private medicine practices, the American Academy of Private Physicians will endorse standards of care and compliance credentialing for private physicians and their practices.

This year the American Academy of Private Physicians is excited to offer the first private medicine certification as part of the educational program. “This certification is first of its kind,” according to AAPP president Matthew Priddy, M.D. “This process will enable private medicine and direct primary care physicians to certify their practice is compliant with both state and federal regulations.”

Attendees of the Fall Summit will also learn about federal policies and laws that apply to DPC and private medicine practices. These topics will be lead by a panel of industry experts.

Three new educational tracks have been added to meet the needs of the membership. The new tracks will focus on:

  • Direct Primary Care practices
  • Practice Formation: designing a successful private practice
  • Private Medicine and Concierge practices

Lastly, Physicians attending the Fall Summit will earn a minimum of 11.25 CME credits for their participation.
