Senate Votes to Approve Protecting Access to Medicare

On Monday March 31st, 2014, the US Senate voted 64 to 35 to approve H.R. 4302, Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014. HR 4302 creates another temporary ‘fix’ to the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) fee cuts and it mandates that Health and Human Services (HHS) cannot adopt ICD-10 until at least October 1st 2015.
